Human

Humans are abundant in the world of Etheria. Since their peak during the Era of Vir, humans have established their dominion in all parts of the world. With fearless persistence, they settle in the harsh, scorching desert of Al’kalem and attempted to conquer the frozen demon-land of Nordwyn. As wide-spread as they are, human have become the model Etheria for the other races, who have begun to adopt human customs and common language (Elian) as a mean to trade and communicate with other races. Despite their number, human is an extremely fractured race and may not work well together in most circumstances.

Elfen

The various breeds of Elfens in Etheria couldn’t be any more different from one another. On one end of the spectrum are the light haired, light skinned, and aesthetically-pleasing Nerems. Because of their great magical knowledge and openness toward immigration from the outside, they are received kindly from other races. On the other end of the spectrum are their exotically dark skinned cousins, the Sylaphites, who instill great fear into those who know of their barbaric culture, lethal combat skill, and an insatiable thirst for religious glory.

Beste

Beste is ethnically very diverse. Their spectrum ranges from felines to canines and beyond. Although most of these humanoid creatures boast animal ears and tails, other animalistic traits may vary depending on the breed. Because of their great resemblance to human, with a few, key differences, contemporary societies are generally tolerant toward them. However, there is still discrimination of Beste in various places except their native habitats. Contrary to common belief, not all Beste are wild, there are a great number of domesticated and well-educated Bestes throughout the land, particularly seen with the Felis.

Demae

Demae are certainly a humanoid race beyond understanding for most people. Despite their horned feature seen in both the Noctum and the Luxian, they cannot be labeled as ‘demons’ or ‘devils’. The Demae are well-spoken and masters of knowledge that is ancient to most of the other races. Like how human have established their dominion over Aea, the two breeds of Demae had taken hold of Nythra, the Dark Realm. While the light-skinned Luxians aren’t known to be the friendly kind of people, Noctum scholars have contributed greatly to Etherian history and magic. They are also constantly uncovering the unknowns.

Fae

Native to the Dark Realm, Nythra, the Fae splits into two courts, with each one serving their respective master race, the Demae. Although the emergence of Fae in Aea used to stir up a copious amount of interests, the Demae’s view of the Fae’s inferiority had since transferred to other races. Living together with the Luxians is the Seelie Court referred to as ‘Faerin’, which meant bound Fae in the elder tongue. Faerins serve Luxians as slaves and are given very little rights. On the other hand, the Unseelie Court, the free Fae co-exist with Noctums in their capital and are given rights that are slightly less than the Noctum.

Mystic

Mystic is a massive umbrella containing some of the strangest races in Etheria that do not seem to have a family genus (such as Elfen, Demae, Fae, or Human). These races are often very encounters due to an upset in their history that might put them at the point of extinction. Included under this category are the halflings, Dorfs and the massive race of Giants, the Norgos. It is common knowledge that it is often very difficult to come across one of these races so treasure encounters if chance happens.
